Understand BloomFund's transparent fee structure for donations and withdrawals.
Our fee structure
BloomFund uses a simple, transparent fee structure. Organizations receive 100% of donations — fees are either paid by donors or deducted only when withdrawing.

This fee is added on top of the donation amount, so organizations receive 100% of what donors intend to give. This applies to all campaigns.
BloomFund platform fee
BloomFund charges a platform fee to help maintain the platform. However, this fee is waived entirely for campaigns supporting people in vulnerable situations. For other campaigns, the fee is up to 2% and is deducted at withdrawal (shown in your dashboard as 'BloomFee').
Fee-free categories (0% platform fee)
The following categories have no platform fee — you keep 100% of donations (only the 2% processing fee paid by donors applies):
- Medical — Health emergencies and medical bills
- Funeral / Bereavement — Supporting families during loss
- Education (Hardship) — Students at risk of dropping out due to fees
- Emergencies — House fires, accidents, job loss with dependents
- Natural Disasters — Floods, fire outbreaks, community damage
- Community Welfare — Church/community emergency support, bereavement funds
- NGO Emergency Relief — Verified NGOs doing food support, disaster response
Note: Fee waivers are granted at BloomFund's discretion based on campaign details and verification.
Categories with platform fee (up to 2%)
The following categories are charged the standard platform fee, deducted when you withdraw:
- Creative Projects — Music, film, fashion, art, photography
- Business Launch — Donation-based business support (no ROI promised)
- Equipment & Tools — Cameras, laptops, sewing machines, industrial tools
- Personal Development — Courses, certifications, travel, content creation
- Community Projects (Non-Emergency) — Building renovations, equipment purchases, planned initiatives
Withdrawal fees

No matter how much you withdraw, you'll never pay more than ₵10 in withdrawal fees.
Example: Fee-free category (e.g., Medical)
If someone donates ₵100 to a medical campaign:
- Donor pays: ₵102 (₵100 + 2% processing fee)
- You receive: ₵100 in your balance
- Platform fee: ₵0 (waived)
- Withdrawal fee: ₵1 (1%, max ₵10)
- You get: ₵99
Example: Standard category (e.g., Creative Project)
If someone donates ₵100 to a creative project:
- Donor pays: ₵102 (₵100 + 2% processing fee)
- You receive: ₵100 in your balance
- Platform fee: up to ₵2 (2%)
- Withdrawal fee: ₵1 (1%, max ₵10)
- You get: ₵97-₵99
No hidden fees
BloomFund is committed to transparency. There are no setup fees, monthly fees, or hidden charges. You can see your BloomFee in your dashboard at any time.
Campaigns we do NOT support
BloomFund prohibits the following types of campaigns. These will be rejected and may result in account termination:
- Investment schemes — Any campaign promising ROI or financial returns
- Ponzi or pyramid schemes — MLM, network marketing, recruitment-based schemes
- Cryptocurrency or forex trading — Trading, speculation, or crypto investments
- Gambling or betting — Sports betting, games of chance
- Loan repayment — Raising funds to repay personal or business loans
- Political campaigns — Political parties, candidates, elections, lobbying
- Illegal activities — Anything violating Ghanaian or international law
- Fraudulent campaigns — Misrepresenting purpose, beneficiary, or fund use
